Linking your privacy statement
If you serve users in regions governed by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), such as the EU or UK, it’s important to provide them with access to your own privacy policy alongside our Coachvox one.
Why this matters
Under GDPR, any end user must be able to review the privacy statements of all parties that collect or control their personal data before they share that data, as part of GDPR’s transparency requirements.
When someone signs up to chat with your AI, both Coachvox and you may process user information. This means that users in GDPR-regulated areas should be able to access:
- Coachvox’s privacy policy, which explains how the platform handles data; and
- Your privacy policy, which explains how you, as the creator, use or store that data.
This helps ensure your AI remains compliant with GDPR requirements, particularly regarding transparency.
What you need to do
If your AI can be accessed by users in the EU/EEA or UK:
- Add the URL for your privacy policy in your AI settings
- Click 'Save'.
Your privacy policy will now be linked from your AI sign-up modal in addition to the Coachvox policy.
Policy updates
It’s best practice to review your privacy policy periodically to ensure it still reflects how you handle user data. Should your policy URL change in the future, you can update this in your AI settings.
